Nik tells two stories about Bum, a volunteer from North Carolina, who helped at food distribution centers in Somalia. In the first story, Bum diffuses a potential volatile situation with humor and in the second, sees the lostness that is surrounding them everyday.

Nik shares some of the troubles of finding vehicles and property for projects in Somalia. He recalls an incident of being offered a truck whose owner was no longer available. He also remembers visiting a compound that had been taken over by outsiders with and unusual collection.
